Following Washington State’s season opening 65-17 loss at Oklahoma State, Paul Wulff gave reason for optimism, despite watching his team allow 50 or more points for the 8th time in its past 25 games.
“Everyone on the outside is going to look at the score, and I understand that it looked bad. Our special teams were very good. We had three tackles for losses in the punt game which is very rare. Our coverage units were outstanding.”
Is he serious? Dude, you’re “improved” team just lost by 48 points in a game that many thought the Cougs might hang around in. As if we didn’t already know it, Paul Wulff is a few fries short of a happy meal. His seat is already hot, and 3 tackles for loss on special teams is not going to cool anything.
